Admitted first-year and transfer students pay a $250 Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) to secure admission to UW Tacoma. The ECD is used to fund programs and services that help students transition successfully to the University.

The Office of New Student Programs works with the Student Advisory Council and Orientation Advisory Committee to oversee how ECD funds are used. The following programs and services receive whole or partial funding for all new undergraduate students provided by the ECD:

  • International Student Orientations and Support via the Global Affairs Fellows
