Dean

Raj Katti, Dean of the School of Engineering & Technology, joined the UW Tacoma faculty in 2014. He served as its interim leader from 2015 to 2017. During that time, he helped guide the transition from a program to a school, which was approved by the UW Board of Regents in 2016. After a national search, he was named dean in 2017.

Dean Katti did his undergraduate work at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (now Mumbai), India. He has an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Washington State University.
