Hana Mei
Hi there! My name is Hana Mei, and I use she/her pronouns. I am currently a graduate student at UWT obtaining a Master of Social Work. I also have my Bachelor's in Social Welfare and a Minor in Business Administration from UWT. I work on campus as a Peer Success Mentor with the Teaching and Learning Center, as a Student Advising Mentor with University Academic Advising, and as a Student Case Manager with the Office of Student Advocacy and Support. Needless to say, I love being a part of the UWT community. I am particularly passionate about supporting neurodiversity within higher education; I have utilized DRS accommodations since undergrad due to my learning disability and have made neurodiversity advocacy a specialty in my social work practice. I look forward to connecting with you!

Jalina
Hello there, everyone! My name is Jalina (she/her) and am one of your Peer Success Mentor AAPI THRIVE Wayfinders. I am a first year student intending to major in Education (with a minor in mathematics) and an aspiring high school math teacher! Prior to my position as a Wayfinder, I was also on the other side of things as an AAPI THRIVE Scholar! As someone who is freshly graduated from high school and also newly navigating as a freshman in university, I know a thing or two about academic and environmental challenges.
My interests include Ted Lasso, spending time with friends, reading, collecting stationery (in typical teacher fashion), and anything involving the outdoors. Hiking, running, swimming– you name it! Although, I only just taught myself to ride the bike.
That being said, UW is easily one of my favorite places. If you spot me on campus–most likely in a library somewhere –never hesitate to say hello! I’m already looking forward to meeting you!

Lynn
Hello Everyone, my name is Lynn! (She/Her)
I am majoring in Computer Science and Systems (BA), while also minoring in Business Administration. I hope to be able to do business data analytics with my degree, while also working in graphic design or arts as a hobby. I am the illustration/graphic designer for The Ledger (UW Tacoma’s Student newspaper), and an officer for UWTVSA, (Vietnamese Student Association Tacoma). I was also a part of the AAPI THRIVE program as a THRIVE Scholar! Being a part of the program has given me massive opportunities such as becoming your Peer Success Mentor/Wayfinder, so I encourage you to do the same!
I enjoy going to cafes, listening to music, and drawing. I am a big city girl at heart, and I always try to find joy in the little things in life. With that being said, I also admire nature and the outdoors. I am always down to go hiking, or going on road trips, anywhere where I can take pictures with my digital camera.
I always strive to put myself out there, and work as hard as I can to help myself and others. I believe that UW has a wonderful community, full of people who will guide you to success. My goal is to help guide you to a future where you believe best fits you. I hope to meet a lot of you around campus!
