End of an Employment Reporting during STEM OPT

Beginning February 9, 2022, students should log into the ISSS Portal to make requests. Thank you!

Fill out this form to report end date of employment during STEM OPT. Int'l Student Advisor will use this info to update student's STEM OPT info in SEVIS.

Students must have their most recent I-20 ready to fill out this form. 

During Post-completion OPT, students are allowed 90 cumulative days of unemployment. During STEM Extension OPT students are allowed additional 60 cumulative days of unemployment.

A copy of the self-evaluation section of Form I-983 (page 5) must be uploaded if students are ending employment.
