10 women-owned business finalists from the South Sound and Greater Seattle Area delivered their pitch and became winners on September 15, 2022.
Direct Admit students in the Milgard School of Business, University of Washington Tacoma are guaranteed admission to the business major and qualify for special Scholarships. Benefits include enrollment in a Leadership course, plus guidance from Business School Academic Advisors.

Our most recent alumni highlight features Riley Kuranishi (Business Administration, Finance, ‘14). Riley currently works and manages multiple businesses including real estate, and a photo and videography company.
TJ Barr is a natural, competing in sports from an early age, high school and beyond. Winning athletic awards in basketball, football, then becoming a leader and organizer of enthusiast groups at college and pro sports events, even serving to officiate and coach. His experiences as a sports fan, plus marketing studies at UWTacoma Milgard School of Business have prepared him well for this internship. He gets it. It's all about the audience experience.

Pat, a South Puget Sound native and current Tacoma resident, recently sat down to chat about his educational experience at Milgard and how his time as a Husky prepared him for his life and career.
Aaron Artman, president of the Tacoma Rainiers since 2007, will teach Revenue Generation in the Milgard School of Business, Sports Enterprise Management program. The class will be held this Winter Quarter at Cheney Stadium, with free parking for students.
