International undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled at UW Tacoma pay the International Student Programming Fee (ISPF). The fee is currently $60 per quarter.
At UW Tacoma, the fee has been used to fund programs and services that serve the unique needs of international students, including orientation, workshops, career development, academic support services, and cultural exchange.
Until Autumn 2022, students were charged a one-time $70 fee during their first quarter of enrollment. Beginning Winter 2023, the fee amount increased to $45 per quarter. This change was approved by the Provost, consistent with Executive Order 44. The fee is increasing to $60 per quarter in Autumn 2023 and $70 per quarter in Autumn 2024.
International Student and Scholar Services in the Office of Global Affairs allocates this money. The ISPF appears on student’s bill as “UWT INTL”. The fee is non-refundable.
