Program Assistant (IIGE)
Hello everyone, my name is Caritina Sanchez and I am so excited to be here as your temporary Program Assistant. I recently graduated with my degree in Biomedical Sciences, as well as a minor in Global Engagement! A fun fact about me is that I have worked two student positions in my time at UW Tacoma; I was a Student Advising Mentor for University Academic Advising and a Resident Advisor for Court 17.
Right now, my main goal is to be a source of aid for this wonderful department and provide as much support to our students as possible. I want to make sure that our students know I am here for them and my office door (CP 311B) will always be open. My future goals are to work in healthcare and provide direct patient care to folks in underserved areas, I have been passionate about healthcare for as long as I can recall and have a desire to give back to the community that helped build me from the ground up. Again, I am so happy to be serving you for the next few months and cannot wait to connect with all of you!
