  • 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average (either from UW Tacoma or as an incoming transfer).
  • Students will be selected on the basis of their GPA, unique perspectives, and demonstrated ability to make an exceptional contribution to the program.
  • A minimum of 45 credits at the time of admission.
  • Less than 135 credits at the time of admission.

Application Details 

Global Honors applicants will be asked to submit the following in the online application:

  • Letter of application describing interest, expected benefits of the Program, unique qualifications, and potential to contribute to our interdisciplinary learning community (1-2 pages).
  • Names and contact information for two references, typically college professors familiar with applicant's academic capabilities and potential for success in the Global Honors Program. Please note that your references will be asked to provide a brief reference by email or phone, not a formal letter of recommendation.

Applicants who successfully move forward in the admissions process will be invited for an in-person interview.
