The Internship Prep Cohort provides concentrated professional development, helps match UW Tacoma students to micro-internships with on- and off-campus employers, and supports reflection and planning as students pursue their next career-connected learning opportunity. Pioneered by Parker Dewey, micro-internships are 4-week long, paid professional assignments that provide flexibility and access to both student and employers.
The Internship Prep cohort is a collaboration with UW Tacoma Career Development and on- and off-campus employers.
Benefits of Internship Prep cohort:
- Placement in a 4-week micro-internship experience

- A $300 stipend

Application Information
The Internship Prep cohort program is open to UW Tacoma first generation college students as well as students from minoritized backgrounds. Students can apply for the Spring and Summer cohorts.
