Ecology and conservation biology is an important area of research that our faculty are involved in. SAM is fortunate to have a broad range of research expertise in our division ranging from marine conservation biology, fungi and plant interactions, insect behavior and urban ecology. Our faculty investigate micro and macro level interactions in the natural environment including invertebrate larval connectivity as well as processes impacting human-carnivore conflict through both laboratory and field studies.
