Consider these general tips to prevent injury and illness and to be mindful of your well-being:
- Prevent the spread of COVID-19 by getting a vaccine, wearing a mask, maintaining physical distancing and practicing proper handwashing.
- Visit your doctor for regular checkups and your dentist for regular teeth cleanings.
- Take steps to manage your stress, practice self-care, and seek mental health services should you need them.
- Practice safer sex if you’re sexually active by using contraception and/or barrier options to prevent unintended pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Always ask for consent.
- Aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night and try to go to sleep and wake up around the same time each day.
- Be mindful of alcohol and drug use. Use safer use strategies and in moderation if you choose to use.
- Drink plenty of water and eat balanced, wholesome, nutritious meals.
- Engage in 150 minutes of exercise each week.
