Student's eligibility for most types of financial aid is based on their financial need. There is no simple method of determining financial need, such as "income cutoff" or other sorts of determination. In general terms, "financial need" is defined as the difference between what it cost to attend school and the student's resources. Your student resources are the amount you and your family are expected to have available for school and are calculated based on the information on your FAFSA.
