The experience of being surrounded by strong, intelligent Native women is what drew Jennifer Vasilez, ’23, Ed.D. Educational Leadership, to UW Tacoma’s Muckleshoot Cohort.
As she juggled child-rearing, working two jobs and multiple extracurricular activities, Chastity Bryant, ’23, M.S. Accounting, was constantly boosted by love and support from her family and mother.
Ada McDaniel is part of the inaugural Muckleshoot Cohort and, when she graduates in June, will be the first person in her family to earn a doctoral degree.
A team including UW Tacoma faculty and students has outperformed dozens of others from government, corporations and universities to claim 2nd prize in the international PETs Challenge.
