Signatures of 20 middle- and high-school students from UW Tacoma's Math, Science, Leadership (MSL) will be lofted into space as part of Lockheed Martin's and NASA's "Student Signatures in Space" program.
Ten motivated UW Tacoma students with a yearning to experience government in action got the opportunity of a lifetime to take part in the 2010 legislative session in Olympia.
During a four-week, free summer program, students in grades 7 to 11 study the fundamentals of math and the scientific process, robotics, environmental studies, service learning and urban design.
