Paulo Barreto, Anderson Nascimento and Anaid Yerena Honored at Latinx Faculty Recognition Event
The UW Latino Health Center held the second annual Latinx Faculty Recognition Event in May. Three UW Tacoma faculty members were recognized: Paulo Barreto and Anderson Nascimento of the Institute of Technology, and Anaid Yerena of Urban Studies.
The University of Washington Latino Health Center held the second annual Latinx Faculty Recognition Event in May to recognize scholarly achievements of Latina and Latino faculty in 2016-17 across the three campuses of UW. 19 faculty members were honored. Attendees included UW President Ana Mari Cauce, Provost Gerald Baldasty, Regent Rogelio Riojas, Graduate School Dean David Eaton, and students, family members and friends of honorees.
Three UW Tacoma faculty members were recognized.
Paulo Barrreto, Assistant Professor in the Institute of Technology, was recognized for scholarly publications during the academic year. The publications are:

Nascimento and Barreto were program co-chairs of this conference, held on the UW Tacoma campus. The conference was held in cooperation with the International Association for Cryptologic Research.)
