The Floating Logs of Spirit Lake

In an installment of their daily satellite photo series, NASA shares images showing how logs knocked into Spirit Lake by the eruption of Mount St. Helens have formed a mat that migrates from one end of the lake to the other. Environmental Science's Jim Gawel is quoted.
