Al-Masri Named One of World's Most Influential System Scholars
Eyhab Al-Masri is #84 on the AMiner Most Influential Scholar Annual List, 2018.
Eyhab Al-Masri, an assistant professor in the School of Engineering & Technology, has been named one of the world’s 100 most influential scholars in his discipline, according to the AMiner Most Influential Scholar Annual List, 2018.
The AMiner list, maintained at Tsinghua University, one of China’s leading research institutions, automatically tracks more than 230 million publications of 130 million researchers. Scholars are ranked according to the numbers of citations their publications receive in other academic publications.
Al-Masri is ranked #84 most influential scholar in the world in the field of “System.” This is broadly defined, according to Al-Masri, as cloud computing, distributed systems, embedded hardware, real-time operating systems, fault-tolerant systems and other similar technologies.
“My main expertise,” said Al-Masri, “is on building intelligent systems for the Internet of Things. This includes cloud computing, mobile computing, big data and machine-to-machine technologies.”
Al-Masri recently organized a workshop in the Internet of Things and data analytics (IoTDA) as part of IEEE Big Data 2018 in Seattle.
