Principles & Objectives
Open Teaching and Learning is the practice of implementing Open Pedagogy. As befits its status as an emerging field, there are many ideas about---and definitions of Open Pedagogy, but for our purposes a simple definition will suffice:
Open Pedagogy, sometimes called Open Educational Practice, is the process of situation teaching and learning processes beyond the confines of closed systems such as Canvas. Open Pedagogy usually, and ideally, involves the use of Open Educational Resources (OERs) for content, but that isn't strictly necessary.
