Welcoming Abby Zorn, Director of Organizational Development & HR
Finance & Administration is excited to welcome Abby Zorn as Director of Organizational Development & Human Resources at UW Tacoma.
Abby (she/her) has worked in HR at the University of Washington for the past five years. Most recently, she was an HR Manager and HR Associate Director for the School of Social Work. Prior to this role, she was the HR Manager at the Cooperative Institute for Climate Ocean and Ecosystem Studies (CICOES), which is part of the College of the Environment. In both positions she managed HR generalist responsibilities and organizational development initiatives.
Originally from Connecticut, Abby started her HR career at the Estée Lauder Companies in New York City where she worked on supervisor trainings and onboarding programs. She happily moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2018. In her free time, she loves going on hikes, reading (and listening) to books, and learning Spanish. She holds a BA in Anthropology from Vassar College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
We are looking forward to having Abby join our team on December 11, and want to acknowledge and thank Trish Fiacchi, current Director of OD & HR and wealth of institutional knowledge, for her thoughtfulness and contributions to allow for overlap before her retirement in January.
