Campus Development Task Force
With the University of Washington Tacoma acquiring additional property in the Tacoma area, it is important to ensure that the development of the campus aligns with student needs and desires. As UW Tacoma prepares for significant campus expansion, there is an emerging need to involve students in the planning process. UW Tacoma administration is expected to be in active discussions with a developer going forward, making it critical for ASUWT to have insight into student preferences for academic buildings, lounge spaces, dining halls, residence halls, and other facilities.
The Campus Development Task Force has been established to gather student input and advocate for the expansion of the UW Tacoma campus.
With the adoption of the 2024 ASUWT Constitution, Task Forces have now been formally integrated into ASUWT's advocacy efforts, ensuring that all initiatives are sustainable and guided by multi-year strategic plans with clear deliverables.
